Ministry Hosts Mastering Project Proposals for Sustainable Youth Initiatives Workshop

The Mastering Project Proposals for Sustainable Youth Initiatives Workshop is underway at the Radisson Aquatic Resort Barbados.

Acting Principal Youth Development Officer, Mrs. Andrea Titus delivered the welcome remarks and indicated that the workshop is about equipping youth leaders with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to turn your visions into impactful projects.

Titus added: “This workshop serves as a bridge between inspiration and implementation, theory and practice. It recognizes that behind every successful community lies a well-crafted plan. And today, we are here to empower you, our passionate youth leaders, with the tools to articulate those plans effectively”.

Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, the Hon. Charles Griffith, echoed Mrs. Titus sentiments and emphasized the importance of having fully functional community youth groups and youth organizations. He noted that comprehensive project and grant proposal writing is critical to sustaining the functions of these groups and organizations.

He encouraged the participants to be “sponges” in terms of the information shared by the presenters and to remain committed to their respective youth groups and organizations.

Dr. Lisa Jaggernauth led the presentations with insightful information on Drafting Project Designs which will be followed by a presentation on National Funding by Director of Youth Affairs, Mr. Cleviston Hunte.
