The Honourable Charles Griffith, M.P for St John and Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, was joined by scores of parents and children at the Community Development Department's Children Party at Gall Hill Pavilion, St. John.

Scores of children and parents flocked to the Gall Hill Pavilion, St John on Sunday, December 8th, for the Community Development Department’s Christmas party under the patronage of the Honourable Charles Griffith, M.P for St John and Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.

From noon to 7:00 p.m. the children were treated to loads of entertainment, including the Ellerton Cultural Club, jumping tents, face paintings, horseback riding, football, the services of a clown, deejay music along with hundreds of toys, food and drinks.

A special treat was the appearance of Rudolph “The Red Nose Reindeer” who dropped in to celebrate the Yuletide season with the children.

Minister Griffith stated that “the package of activities was varied and wide ranging to capture the attention of the hundreds of young people that turned up for the event”.

He noted that “this is the one time of the year that is festive and that children want to be happy, presenting him with the opportunity at Gall Hill for the youngsters to come out and enjoy themselves in a safe environment, noting that he was really happy to be able to do it again this year”.

Needless to say, Santa Claus put in his appearance and distributed scores of toys to the children attending the event, much to their delight and to the joy of their parents as a happy time was had by all.
